AMY NORD, MSW, LICSW (she/her)

Therapist, independent contractor

Change always impacts our lives, invited or not.

I specialize in helping you navigate these changes, including how you feel about and experience your work, grieving loss in your life, ending a relationship, coping with abuse and contemplating addiction.

I have decades of experience working in various high-trauma fields that intersect with law enforcement, medicine, crisis response and child protection. If your work brings you high levels of stress, causes moral injury or secondary trauma, let’s talk about that. I am here to help you process your experiences and talk through next steps.

I practice different types of therapy, generally adapting them to you and what you need. My foundations are strength-based and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

As an animal lover, I am acutely aware of the grief we experience when our beloved pets pass away. I am uniquely trained in animal bereavement and here to help you process your loss without judgement. Together, we will explore your relationship with your pet, process your grief related to their passing (or terminal diagnosis) and create a bereavement plan for you moving forward.
