EMILY CHRISTENSEN, MSW, LGSW (she/her)

THERAPIST

(supervised by Tia Wilcek, LICSW)

I have always been fascinated by the complexity of the human mind and our resilience during difficult times. This curiosity, combined with my deep passion for supporting others in their mental health journey, led me to become a therapist. I truly believe that within each individual lies the power to overcome any obstacle and create meaningful change in their lives.

What can you expect in a therapy room with me?

Taking the first step towards therapy is an act of self-compassion and a powerful investment in your well-being.

My goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you can freely express yourself, explore your thoughts and emotions, and embark on a journey of self-discovery. My approach is empathetic and non-judgmental, allowing you to feel fully heard and supported. We will work collaboratively to identify the root causes of your concerns and to develop creative solutions to manifest a future that aligns with your values.

Fun facts about me…

Outside of therapy, I am an avid artist. I believe that art is a powerful tool that can be used to help us heal and feel inspiration. I enjoy helping others tap into their own artistic passions and expressing themselves through various mediums. Lastly, cats are my favorite animals! I think we can all learn a lot from their peaceful and playful nature, and spending time with animals is a therapeutic practice within itself.
