Mel pascoe, MSW, lICsw (she/her)
Therapist
I am passionate about working with people to help them feel more confident about themself, their relationships, and their life!
We all struggle at times and choosing therapy is a brave choice.
I will always feel honored to be part of someone’s journey.
And when we work together we will work to address the root of any anxiety or discomfort you are feeling. I will help you learn new ways to cope, new ways to communicate, and help you see how our pasts effect our present.
You deserve to feel peace and joy in your life,
and together we will work to make that happen!
Your ‘stuck times’ might be difficulty in your marriage, self-doubt keeping you from pursuing your dreams, wishing your relationships were something they are not, feeling consumed with worry about your future, or something between.
Whatever it is, I love getting the chance to connect and help people get unstuck. I know at some point in our lives we all need a little extra support and I am always honored to be on that journey with someone.
What can you expect in a therapy room with me?
I don’t know if you know this, but so much of how we cope and live our lives comes from how we grew up. So, in therapy with me, we explore our childhood and past experiences and we figure out how they impact who we are today and how we show up in our relationships. We get curious together. And when we get curious together we find where that stress and anxiety is coming from; helping you work towards your goals to find new ways to cope and ultimately to feel more at peace and more confident in your life and relationships.
Fun facts about me…
Something you’ll probably discover and so I’ll just confess it now, goats are my favorite animal (their smile is so adorable). Also, I enjoy starting my day with a walk and watching my neighborhood wake up, it’s cute watching everyone hustle around to start their day.
I am originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where everybody knows each other. I moved to Minnesota in 2015 to attend Augsburg University in Minneapolis. I fully intended to go back to Michigan after I graduated with my bachelors degree in social work, but I ended up staying to pursue my Masters in social work. After 12 wonderful years in MN, I found my way back home and live in the UP again, where I am so happy to be able to live while serving my awesome Minnesotan clients!
