Owner & Therapist
NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
I know you’re here to learn about me and that not everyone is interested in the boring details of my resume, so I’ve moved all that to the bottom, just in case.
I love being a therapist. I really enjoy getting to know other humans in this world and I am genuinely interested in knowing your story. I love to be silly and will absolutely bring humor into our time together. Laughter is an excellent healer.
For me, learning has always been something I have been passionate about. So I read. A lot. My bookshelves are probably a bit out of control. You know how people have bookcases that look all nice with decoration… ya, I’ve always wanted to do that, but the shelves are overwhelming with books - seriously, who has the room!? Long before I was a therapist I was reading self-help books to understand life. I still read those and all of the other ‘boring’ books about mental health and our brain… all for fun. I guess that’s good for you, because I have a ton of stuff bouncing around in my brain.
“I cannot remember the books I’ve read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Fun facts about me… I like dancing in the kitchen, listening to music really loudly, reading a book on a cloudy day, slowing down to notice a butterfly fluttering by, and watching the clouds to see what crazy shapes and images they can make. Plus, my amazing grandfather taught me how to peel an orange in one giant peel, so there’s that.
See what others have to say about Tia:
“Tia is a hardworking, passionate, and compassionate therapist. In my time working with Tia I learned that she is above all, kind and competent and advocates for her clients. Tia truly puts her clients first. above everything else. She understands complicated issues and the complex environments in life, as well as has experience with a wide range of ages and needs. I highly recommend Tia to anyone seeking a therapist.” - Jodie Holzman, LICSW
“Anytime I have a client who needs services, specifically trauma related symptoms. Tia is a person I am confident can reduce their suffering and help them enhance their lives. Tia is a highly competent clinician who is warm, intelligent and skilled in creating change for the clients she works with.” - Steve Dupic, LMFT
“Tia is a passionate therapist. She will stick with you until your issues are resolved no matter how many twists and turns the journey takes to get there. I go to her for advice on how to work with adolescents. She's really good at that, but she's great with adults too. Its easy referring people to Tia and I do so without hesitation.” - Kristen Lund, MSW, LICSW
