Therapist, independent contractor
Welcome, I am so glad that you are here!
As you search for a therapist, I believe that it is important for you to find someone who feels like a good fit for you and what you need. Here is a bit about me for you to consider as you look for the right person to start working with.
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and an Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist. My primary interests and expertise are in working with individuals with anxiety, challenges with parenting or caregiving roles, grief and loss, supporting children with special needs, trauma/vicarious trauma, life transitions and early childhood mental health and attachment. I work collaboratively with you to develop the focus in our work together and use a variety of approaches including attachment and developmental theories, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), mindfulness, and a trauma informed lens.
I love to hear and hold space for people’s individual stories. I believe that sharing your story with someone who can hold it gently and carefully while allowing you to examine and reflect on it can be a powerful and healing experience. Part of being human is the reality that our life experience have points of pain, loneliness, sadness, loss or confusion. As a therapist, it is my honor to be with you in your unique and personal story so that you can focus on your individual goals leading to more peace, wholeness and healing.
During therapy sessions, I will approach your situation with compassion, tenderness and curiosity. We may also look for patterns and possible ways in which your relationship histories affect your present functioning. It is likely that we will also laugh quite a bit. Honestly, being a person can be quite humorous and I enjoy finding the silliness in little parts of life.
